Tyropita without phyllo dough

Tyropita without phyllo dough is not the classic tyropita but it’s tasty and juicy and many people actually prefer it to the classic cheese pie. The herbs here are even more intense and it’s quicker and easier to make! A perfect solution for when you don’t have much time or you want something low-carb ;)

Spanakorizo (Greek style Spinach & Rice)

Spring onions, dill and lemon are so perfect together! This fragrant dish, full of vitamins and flavours is a favourite in Greece.

Melitzanosalata (Aubergine Salad)

An aubergine salad is a must especially if the aubergines are grilled and have that delicious smoky taste! With or without garlic, it tastes good with almost everything.

Gigantes (Greek baked giant beans)

Gigantes plaki - a comforting and satisfying vegetarian meal which can be served as a stew – like main course, as a side dish or even as an appetizer. It’s a classic Greek dish and plaki is a Greek cooking method where the food is baked in a chunky tomato sauce, veggies and lots of good extra virgin olive oil.

Yoghurt & pineapple dessert

Desserts are always a must! This one with yoghurt and pineapple adds a fresh taste to the mouth and is very filling too! Without much sugar (just the whipped cream), it doesn’t get you feeling too guilty for overdoing it ;) The dates (or prunes) and nuts make it even more satisfying so make sure to save some space for it!

Salad with blue cheese / Roquefort

The salad with blue cheese is much lighter in taste than at first impression. The dressing supplements the salad a lot so I wouldn’t be stingy with that and I’d make a bit more since it’s super yummy! Remember to use balsamic vinegar rather than cream here. For an even more filling salad, add some crunchy vegetables too!

Fruit salad with yoghurt & lime dressing

This is an idea for a fresh, summer-ish salad with a twist in the dressing which makes it more interesting.
